GH Roots is inspired by the African Roots culture. It was conceived in December of 2006 with the basic idea of designing clothes that represented our culture. The core of the GH Roots team is from Ghana, which leans the line closer to “home” so to speak. However, GH Roots represents all of us as a whole. This is evident in the slogan, “roots conscious” or “roots conscious since 19 o’long” meaning that one should always be aware of where they’re from, be it Africa, Europe, Asia or the Americas…. at the end of the day, we’re all from somewhere.
